And this follows that ridge in the mauka direction. We would be climbing up to the ridge about the very right-hand side of the photo.
Of interest (to me, anyway) is the contour road visible here and there below the ridge summit. I once followed it out from below the picnic table spot
to where it rejoined the ridge road/trail. Maybe not allowable under current management?
