Looking ahead
	After following the contour what seems like quite a distance, one reaches a point where a new ridge appears in the valley to the left of the trail. It rises pretty high after a while, even though it doesn't look like it here, then drops down to a saddle. The Boy Scout shelter is in that saddle.
