Sisal patch

It took much longer than I expected to get back to the patch of plants that I thought "look like agave or something" in October. Indeed, it turns out they are sisal, a near relative that one can't make tequila from. As far as I can tell from John's book, this plant doesn't grow trail-side in Hawai`i, but I might be misreading.
We passed through it in the opposite direction this time.
