While checking the trail on 2011-09-09 we found that it is easily passed on the left side. I had tried that once, years ago, and failed, but it turns out I was trying to do it too high.

| Just seconds after that steepish spot one comes to this wonderful rock. Most people used to go around it to the right, while a few would climb along the top.
