Up the valley
	Here are two of the four that decided to hike the valley instead of the ridge. I had two motives for being another of the four: not sure that my current condition would get me far up the ridge (I have almost always done the loop via Hawaii Loa Ridge), and I had never been up the valley past where the further trail came down from Hawaii Loa -- I would see new territory.
