The hike begins with a long trek up a dirt road that is even more long and boring on the way back out. This view is at 8:26, four minutes before the official start time.
Dupont was the first HTMC hike I ever did, some 20 years ago. I have always remembered it as fairly easy, but I didn't find it so this day when I did it as my first hike as an HTMC member.
